SIRIUS XM Radio Announces Comprehensive Broadcast Coverage of 2010 MLB All-Star Week

SIRIUS XM Radio announced that it will offer baseball fans comprehensive coverage of 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Week in Anaheim, CA, July 9-13.

XM will broadcast the 81st All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 13 (8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT), and the State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday, July 12 (8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT), live from Angel Stadium on XM channel 175.

XM will also offer the exclusive radio broadcast of the XM All-Star Futures Game, featuring the top minor league prospects from the U.S. and abroad, on Sunday, July 11. Pre-game coverage starts at 5:30 pm ET/2:30 pm PT on XM channel 175. SIRIUS XM’s Mike Ferrin will be the play-by-play voice for the Futures Game broadcast and former Major League GM and daily SIRIUS XM host Jim Duquette will be the analyst. SIRIUS XM’s Grant Paulsen and Baseball America’s John Manuel will provide reports from on the field and in the dugouts.

On Monday and Tuesday, MLB Network Radio, SIRIUS XM’s 24-hour baseball talk channel (XM channel 175 and SIRIUS channel 210 with the “Best of XM”), will offer listeners extensive pre- and post-game coverage of both the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game that will feature one-on-one interviews with current and former All-Stars, managers, coaches and other personalities from around the game.

Casey Stern, Jim Bowden and former Major Leaguer Mark Sweeney will host the Home Run Derby pre-game coverage starting at 5:00 pm ET/2:00 pm PT. Immediately afterward, Bowden, Stern and Jim Duquette will provide a recap of the event for listeners.

On Tuesday, former All-Star pitcher Rob Dibble, Duquette and Stern will host the All-Star pre-game broadcast starting at 5:00 pm ET/2:00 pm PT. Bowden, Duquette and Stern will be on air and on the field for the post-game coverage.

Additionally, personalities from across the SIRIUS XM programming spectrum will broadcast live from MLB All-Star FanFest at the Anaheim Convention Center in the days leading up to the All-Star Game. SIRIUS XM Radio will embark on its 2010 Spring Training Tour on Friday, March 5, taking listeners to 30 Major League Baseball Spring Training sites in three weeks. MLB Home Plate, SIRIUS XM’s 24-hour baseball talk channel, and Mad Dog Radio, SIRIUS XM’s all-sports talk channel, will broadcast live from ballparks in Arizona and Florida, offering baseball fans an in-depth look at every Major League club and one-on-one interviews with managers, players and team executives.

SIRIUS XM Radio announced today that it will offer baseball fans comprehensive coverage of 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Week, including the 80th All-Star Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on July 14 on XM channel 175.

XM will air the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14 (8:00 pm ET), plus live coverage of the Home Run Derby (July 13 at 8:00 pm ET) and the exclusive radio broadcast of the XM All-Star Futures Game (July 12 at 2:00 pm ET), featuring the top minor league prospects from the U.S. and abroad. All three events will air live nationwide on XM channel 175.

Prior to the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, MLB Home Plate, SIRIUS XM’s 24-hour baseball talk channel, will broadcast live (6:00 – 8:00 pm ET) from the field at Busch Stadium. MLB All-Star Game to Air Nationwide on XM Satellite Radio

Baseball fans across the U.S. can tune into XM Satellite Radio for
comprehensive coverage of the 2008 Major League Baseball All-Star Week
in New York City, including the 79th MLB All-Star Game at Yankee
Stadium on July 15.

XM will air the All-Star Game, the Home Run Derby, and exclusive
radio coverage of the XM All-Star Futures Game, featuring the top
minor-league prospects from the U.S. and abroad.

XM’s baseball talk radio channel MLB Home Plate will be live from
New York starting July 12 with Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. at the
All-Star FanFest at the Javits Center in Manhattan.

Cal and his brother and fellow major-league vet Billy Ripken will
host their weekly XM show “Ripken Baseball” at the XM broadcast booth
in the convention center this Saturday 10-11 am ET. The Ripkens’ guests

World Series Champ Boston Plays Oakland at Tokyo Dome to Open MLB Season

XM to Air Red Sox – A’s Season Opener in English and Japanese

Major League Baseball will open the 2008 regular season on March 25
with the World Series champion Boston Red Sox and Oakland A’s in Japan.
XM Satellite Radio will air three live broadcasts of the game,
including one broadcast in Japanese.

The Red Sox will play the A’s in front of a sold-out crowd at the
Tokyo Dome at 6:05 am ET. XM will air the Red Sox radio broadcast, the
A’s broadcast, and a Japanese-language broadcast on three separate
channels.
