- Will my existing radio continue to work after the companies merge? »
- I want to buy a second radio; should I wait for the new models? »
- Will I continue to enjoy my current programming after the merger? »

- Why sign up with XM now if I’m going to get the best of both worlds? »
- Read the Press Release »
How will this merger benefit me as a customer?
As a part of the XM Nation, you can already hear great programming wherever you are. But soon, you’ll be able to hear even more. After we join forces, you’ll have more choices with access to a mix of programming from both services at better pricing.
Will my existing radio continue to work after the companies merge?
You’ll be able to use the exact same satellite radio that you are listening to now, after the merger takes place and for the life of your radio. That’s the XM Customer Promise.
I want to buy a second radio; should I wait for the new models?
You’ll be able to hear new programming on your current radio. And since we have great pricing deals on second radios now, so no need to wait!
Will I continue to enjoy my current programming after the merger?
We will combine programming where we overlap, but the unique XM shows you love are here to stay.
What should I expect in terms of subscription costs after the merger?
We will not raise the cost of your current XM subscription cost. We plan to add lower-tiers of pricing, and premium packages of service as we expand our programming, but your current package will stay the same.
Why sign up with XM now if I’m going to get the best of both worlds?
While we have agreed to join forces with SIRIUS, we’re still the only place to hear the ump yell “play ball” or the other 169 other channels of unique entertainment, like Artist Confidential, Theme Time Radio Hour with Bob Dylan, The Bob Edwards Show, Opie and Anthony and Oprah & Friends.

This for Jonathan:
I have never heard any Joni James recordings on Sirusly Sinatra and think it odd. Rosmary Cloony, doris Day, and many others seem to be heard, but not Joni?
Hey … I found this site by mistake. I was searching in Bing for Registry software that I had already purchased when I came upon your site, I have to say your site is pretty cool I just love the theme, its amazing!. I don’t have the time this minute to fully read your site but I bookmarked it and also will sign up for your RSS feed. I’ll back in a day or two. Thanks again for a great site.
It is about over for satelite radio, enjoy what is left over
I have canceled my subscription and put my radio away and gone MP3s on DVD. When Audio Visions was replaced with the crappy channel SPA (that is a totally different format, they lost my incentive to pay for the service. Audio Visions was not only a channel like Spa is (and Spa is even an extremely poor new age channel) Audio Visions was an enviroment, it changed and at night was a great sleep aid – and was suggested to me by my doctor for relaxation. Spa is not 5% of the quality and excellence of the channel they canceled, it just simply sucks. I got nothing but form letters from customer service when i wouuld write – the same form letters. I called and was put on hold and left when complained. I responded as did several of my friends in Asheville NC by canceling our subscriptions we all had since 2001. Sirus really screwed up bad by dropping the better of the 2 services and keeping the crappy on air Spa and letting go to rest the excellent Audio Visions…. as a result they never gotten another cent of my money and a lot of other people i know did the same thing when they did this. How many times can you say it SPA SUCKS – AUDIO VISIONS excellent.
An ex-subscriber!
This XM / Sirius so called merger is terrible. I just purchased a new Ford truck, the flyer at the Ford dealer has XM channels listed. Being an XM customer I thought I could just add a second radio, but no not so. I need to open a new Sirius account at higher rate than just adding a second radio to my XM account. Get’s better, the flyer showed XM/Sirius channel listing, but when I tried to access my station (Village – channel 15) guess what, not available on my Ford Sirius radio. OK so I spent several hundred extra dollars to get an XM radio that is not XM and cannot play my preferred radio station (Village)
Can I tell you I think this is fraudulent and someone should sue them for misrepresentation.
Thank you
Scott

I think Spa is great I liked audio visions but in my view Spa is better when Sirius and Xm were 2 seperate companys Spa was introduced on Sirius as Spa73 bc it was on Sirius 73 now since the merger Spa is on the same channel on both Sirius and Xm and I really like it its alot better than audio Visions its a great sleep aid for me I sleep to Spa every once in awhile and I also sleep to the smooth jazz channel on Sirius/Xm channel 71 called Watercolors so thats all I have to say have a safe and happy new yr 2010 Gene G Jr
hey all I think the Sirius/Xm merger has done alot of good because Howard Stern has stayed through all the merger processes Xm subscribers can now sign up for the best of Sirius and vice versus for sirius subscribers can get the best of xm I have Xm with the best of Sirius and I really enjoy all the changes they made I had Sirius when the 2 were seperate companys I hated Sirius so I moved to Xm when the 2 merged together and I got the best of Sirius just so I could continue to hear Howard Stern and I like the Nfl coverage that came over from Sirius and channel 124 the nfl channel that I can now hear on my Xmp3 player that channel came over from Sirius as well so bye bye for now have a safe and happy new yr 2010 Gene G Jr
Hello jonathan;
If I go to New Orleans to watch WSP will Jimmy Herring or Derek Trucks be their guitarists? Happy New Year…Larry Hulst
So the question is what’s the govenrments role in all of this. Are they helping or hurting or just not even a player. I always try to look behind the scenes and see who’s pulling the strings.
This is some good information, I just finished my paper for school and think I should go re-edit it lol. You may have just made me a regular
Dear Jonathan: I was listening to your New York City radio show today, 01-16-2010 and heard a most wonderful country and western singer I never heard before, on an earlier hour! I didn’t catch her name and I have already forgotten the name of the song she sang (as I am 71 years old and don’t retain very well anymore)! I’d like to buy her CD! Can you refresh my memory? Sincerely, Jim Shea (Long time fan of yours and much longer Red Sox fan, whose Uncle, Jimmy Shea, was once a sports and Red Sox writer for The Fitchburg Sentinal)
Being in forex for 22 years now, its great to know that I can still learn new things from content like this. Thanks for your thoughts, I’ll be back soon for more!
155 has gone to trash w/ the cancellation of GMA that I miss greatly! The show line up is terrible now and I do not listen to 155 anymore. The quality of XM programming is sinking.
OH crud! i just typed a nice comment and as soon as i submitted it it come up blank! Please tell me it worked properly? I do not want to sumit it again if i do not have to! Either the blog bugged out or i am just stuipd
, the latter doesnt surprise me lol.
My husband was always complaining about paying the monthly fee for satelite radio. I got sick of hearing him, so I had his radio turned off.
That evening he came in the house screaming that his satelite radio wasn’t working and demanded that I call Sirius and complain and get his radio turned on immediately. Of course, I laughed so hard until I cried. He didn’t realize how much he liked satelite radio until he didn’t have it. Now he no longer complains, but says instead, I didn’t tell you to turn it off!
If you like Sirius XM then see their “rags to riches” story on DVD. The movie is called “Stock Shock” and it goes over the history, development, and near-death experience of the stock. I did not know the inventor of sirius xm was a woman!–well she is now, at least. DVD is cheaper at http://www.stockshockmovie.com, but the DVD is pretty much everywhere for sale.
Hello. This is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time Thanks for any help you can offer here.
Lots of of bloggers aren’t very happy with this new iPad.There was just too much hype regarding it and alot people got turned off.Thing is, I for one see great deal of the cool potential of the device. Third-party apps for composing tunes, games, newsprints and magazine and books, all kinds of neat stuff, but IMHO they just didn’t really sell it properly (excluding the books). It smells kind of undercooked
Bring Back the Michael Jackson channel. He has a tremendous amount of music that can fill the airwaves hour after hour after hour!! Let’s do this!
typical merger bullshit. We get charged more, for less, people get laid off and the executives get bigger bonuses. And the customer gets it stuck up their ass, as usual.
I dropped my XM after the free 3 months. They were going to add a hidden fee of $21.99 on top of the yearly fee. This is riduclous. I will just lister to other regular radio stations.
I wondered why, all of a sudden this past week, I could no longer sign into my online account and listen at work. It’s a shame since I really enjoyed having this option, but I am NOT paying an additional fee for that. There are plenty of other internet radio options that are FREE and I am most likely going to drop Sirius/XM from my car also due to the greedy factor of this company!!
