Storage for Music and More

All customers automatically start with 5 GB of free Cloud Drive storage to begin uploading their digital music library, and for a limited time, those who purchase any Cloud Drive storage plan will receive unlimited space for music at no additional cost. In addition to unlimited space for music, Cloud Drive allows customers to upload and store all kinds of digital files, including photos, videos and documents which are stored securely and available via web browser on any computer. SiriusXM will carry the 82nd All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 12 (8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT), and the State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday, July 11 (8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT), live from Chase Field on XM channel 176.

SiriusXM will also offer the exclusive radio broadcast of the XM All-Star Futures Game, featuring the top minor league prospects from the U.S. and abroad, on Sunday, July 10. Pre-game coverage starts at 5:30 pm ET on XM channel 89. AARP Internet Radio, a free music player provided by Slacker, features 18 free streaming channels of handpicked music catering to the musical tastes of Americans age 50+ and is the initiative’s centerpiece. Its aim: to make enjoying music intuitive and fun—especially for people who have been largely underserved by conventional music sources.

AARP Internet Radio also features a dedicated channel highlighting the music of one particular artist, which will change from month to month. The ‘Artist’ channel is currently streaming the music of legendary songwriter Paul Simon and AARP will also unveil new channels in the coming weeks and months, including a ‘Members Choice’ channel, which will allow AARP members to serve as guest DJs.

Visitors to the AARP website can open AARP Internet Radio in a separate window displaying the music player and a list of stations to choose from. Users will have the option to play, pause or skip songs, and easily change stations. Sirius XM Radio announced today that “Little Steven” Van Zandt will host a two-hour special commemorating the beloved E Street Band member, who passed away on June 18 at the age of 69.

Little Steven’s tribute “For Clarence” will air Friday, July 1 at 7:00 pm ET on Underground Garage, channel 21.

The special will feature Little Steven reflecting on the career of his bandmate and friend and sharing stories and personal recollections of the beloved E Street Bandmember.

SiriusXM listeners will hear songs that feature the recognizable sound of Clemons’ saxophone, including “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out,” “Mary Lou” and “Jungleland.” “ForClarence” will also feature songs from Clemons’ solo career, including “You’re A Friend Of Mine” and his cameos on other artists’ records, including “Freeway Of Love” with Aretha Franklin and “All of the Good Ones Are Taken” with Ian Hunter.

The two-hour special will also include archival interview excerpts with Clarence and audio selections from his appearances in movies and TV, including the 1977 movieNew York, New York, the TV series Different Strokes and the HBO series The Wire.

Sirius XM Radio today announced that pop music star/former NSYNC member Lance Bass will host The Pop Ten, a new weekly music and pop culture show launching this weekend.

Beginning July 1, The Pop Ten with Lance Bass will air Friday nights from 10:00 pm — 12:00 am ET on SiriusXM OutQ, ch.108. As listeners across the country get their weekends started, Lance counts down the top ten songs and pop culture happenings for the week, joined in studio by celebrity guests and a regular crew of his closest friends.

The Pop Ten music countdowns will feature Lance’s favorite tracks of the week—dance, pop, rock, world music, country, plus music from new artists he loves—as well as contributions from fans and friends via Twitter @lancebass, Facebook and live calls from listeners.

The AOL Huffington Post Media Group’s AOL Music is relaunching AOL Radio in partnership with Slacker Inc., it was announced today. AOL Radio will offer an enhanced radio experience with fewer ads, new personalization features and premium subscription offerings. The new service will deliver three product tiers to users: the free AOL Radio service, along with ad-free and feature-rich radio and on-demand premium subscription tiers with personalization and customization powered by Slacker.

AOL’s partnership with Slacker Inc. will provide access to ad-free radio and enable users to create tailored radio stations, save favorite songs and stations, read album reviews, access artist biographies, review station histories, increase song skipping capabilities and much more, depending on the tier of service selected. The partnership will enable Slacker to deliver its new radio offerings to a larger audience, allow AOL Radio and Slacker to develop new advertising opportunities for mutual clients and integrate AOL Music’s original editorial voice across all its services.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that Sway Calloway, veteran music and entertainment news reporter, will host a live weekday morning show on Eminem’s music channel, Shade 45.

Sway in the Morning will launch on Monday, July 18 at 8:00 am ET on Shade 45, channel 45. Sway in the Morning will air Monday — Friday from 8:00 am — 12:00 pm ET.

Sway is a constant presence in hip-hop culture as a co-host of the legendary syndicated “World Famous Wake Up Show” with his partner DJ King Tech and as a staple correspondent on MTV. He will host his SiriusXM Radio show every weekday live from the SiriusXM studios in New York City. Sway will welcome special guests, including hip-hop artists, celebrities and newsmakers, for in-studio interviews, present song premieres, report on music news and more.
