This is not confirmed 100% yet but we expect Sirius XM will be adding more latin channels to it’s lineup. There is also word that Squizz and Ethel will be making a return to the Air Waves.
Finally expect the launch of a new channel devoted to Michael Jackson, The Michael Jackson Icon Channel.
I will post full details as soon as I get the official information.
Update Ethel not being added, Viva and a new Madonna Icon channel for a limited time.

It appears that there is going to be larger revisions to the channel lineups. For right now I’m crossing out all of the information above until I know exactly what the changes will be.
Sorry for all of the confusion right now but I promise I will have all of the new channel changes soon. Also just because the info above is crossed out this is not final. SXM is making larger changes so it’s better to wait until things are 100% official.

Can’t wait for this! The Michael Jackson tribute channel was awesome for the few days that it lasted….and now I’m missing it loads. Hope this will be up again soon!!!!!

Phil the channel will be up some time after his funeral, no exact dates. They are still trying to figure out what channel to replace for it, or where to add it.

I’m not 100% sure right now so I do not want to tell you yes. I think Sirius XM is trying to figure out where to put new channels or move existing so it may be a while until I know for sure.

Does your source also know if there will be any increase in the playlists of some of the rivized channels as well as the current channels.This was the biggest compliant of shruckin playlists among us subrscribers.Although the timing of these so called channel changes is interesting now that John Zellner is leaving for Clear Channel radio in about 2 weeks.Although i Hear Steve Blatter isn’t going to be much better.
Not sure steve. I agree with you though, I often hear the same songs over and over again in the same 24 hour period.
Well a good marketing tool at least would be to direct MJ’s songs to specific channel ala’ the recent tribute. At least your listeners would know where they could go for the lions share of MJ. Right now his music is flying off the shelves and hot, why not get in on the action at least while the ferver is there.

They should bring Squizz back and send bodhi, grant and brutus over there and let octane fade away. Lucy would be nice to as Lithium sux. You used to hear Lucy in a lot of chain resturants and not so much anymore. I heard one broadcasting Slacker once! SXM better wake up and smell what the consumer is cookin.
Have you heard any news on the new channel linup yet.I’m kind of surprized they didn’t launch this MJ channel yet,especailly after his death.My thoery is i’m assuming management is waiting to see if a lot of people are bulking at this royalty fee.As i mentioned before in my previous comment.A lot subcribers including myself,are still not happy with the reduction in playlists,too much repitition like FM.I think people might be saying why should i pay more money for less content.If Mel Kazmerin and his management team were smart they would not only revamp the channel lineups and also add a lot more songs to each channel,that way it would justify spending the extra $2 a month
Still no word Steve. I know for a fact many people have been calling in about the MRF and the removal of GMA from Sirius XM.
Unless someone high up in the company leaks any info (unlikely) I will just have to wait on my source to let me know. Which sucks since I’m pretty sure there will be some changes soon.
Be still my heart…is it actually possible that they will bring VIVA back on-air?! I was encouraged that they have on their on-line only line-up, but really, really miss it in my car. Having just one Spanish-language music station is the pits, and frankly insulting. It would be like having one English-language music station because afterall it’s all the same anyway – country western, rock ‘n roll, pop – right? Anyway, thanks for this site, please keep up posted as to when I can get VIVA back on in my car – that will be a great day! Espero…espero…espero…

I see still no word yet.Although there’s been a lot going on in the last month.I thought there improvements slowly coming and i was very optomistic.The 90′s on 9 expanded thier playlist.But after only a month.It’s back to it’s former self agian.It doesn’t make sence what they are thinking over there.
I’m not so sure what they are thinking also. I was expecting an announcement yesterday with the Apple Conference but nothing….it’s all a waiting game.
