Sirius XM Launches Black Friday Promo: Three Free Months of “Best of Both”

Category : Sirius News, Sirius XM Radio, XM News

This Black Friday Sirius XM Radio will be launching a free “Best of Both” promotion where consumers can get three free months of “Best of Both” by purchasing any Sirius or XM aftermarket product.

“Best of Both” normally costs $16.99 a month so three free months is a pretty good deal.

In an interview with Twice.com Jim Meyer (Operations and sales president) said the company’s sales to date of the “Best of Both” package have exceeded all forecasts.

“This is the first opportunity we’ve had to sell tiered
programming. When you look at the other pay services, tiered
programming has been successful. We’re encouraged by the early results.
Obviously we like it better when they buy $16.99 rate than $6.99.”

Sirius XM Radio will also have special displays in Circuit City and Best Buy stores starting this Friday promoting the new packages and combined services.

Should Sirius XM Radio been more open about channel changes?

15

Category : Sirius News, Sirius XM Radio, XM News

After reading all of the comments around the web it appears that a good majority of Subscribers are upset about the new channel lineup Sirius XM Radio decided on.

As a company that is not only struggling (see the reason for merger also) at the moment but relies heavily on it’s listeners don’t you think it would have been smart for Sirius XM Radio to survey it’s listeners before making these changes?

Now I know not everyone is going to be happy no matter what the changes are, but I feel and I’m getting the feeling that they really dropped the ball on this one.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens to this company in the near future. I had really high hopes for this merger but it appears that things are not going as planned.

I would love to hear what other people think about this situation, please leave a comment below with your thoughts.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
