XM Satellite Radio Holdings, Inc. to Sirius Satellite Radio, Inc. MO&O/R&O.

When an item hits the FCC’s Items on Circulation, that means it’s now being formally passed to the four other FCC Commissioners. A final vote on the transaction could come in as little as three weeks from the date of Circulation (6/17). The timing depends on how the first two Commissioners vote, but traditionally, the final two Commissioners have ten days after the first two votes to make their decision.

I’m confused with the merger of XM/Sirius? Unless the FCC is trying to bankrupt one of the companies; I don’t understand why it is taking so long. It has been approved by the DOJ as well as the head of the FCC as it is in the best interest of the public. If this is the case why then the delay. It would seem the FCC should be accountable to the investors for what appears to be a deliberate effort to destroy the company(s) value. Am I mistaken, is there something I’m missing?

I’m also confused but I think it all comes down to Terrestrial Radio being scared of this merger. They have been trying to block it from day one and they still are to this they. The NAB is slowing everything down and trying to drag this out for as long as they can.

Also even though Kevin Martin said he approves the merger there are still 3 other commissioners that need to vote.

This has been one of the most ridiculous things I have seen or ever followed.

Hopefully we will have an answer by the end of the month though, if not some time soon.

Thanks for reading and the reply.
